Typical Private Session

Each session begins with your stated intention so we are aligned with your healing outcomes. It is helpful for you to spend some time prior to a session clarifying what it is you desire to enhance, improve, or change about your health, life situation or personal vision.

Your statement of an intention sets a pattern in your body that will reveal the ways in which you allow or block movement and the flow of energy through your system.

Through gentle touch and movement I will access all levels of consciousness in your body: from the cellular/genetic level, through all tissue types to gross motor movement, neurochemistry and brain patterns. Generally you will relax on a massage table (fully clothed), but occasionally we will work together with a sitting, walking or a floor guided movement piece similar to a class.

Healing on any level becomes possible once you rediscover ways of movements not recognized or ever attempted before.

My commitment to you is to accept your choices and to hold an intention of openness and positive outcome.

After the Session

You may feel relaxed, mentally sharp or fuzzy, your walk may feel unusual or unsteady. These are all signs of progress. Plan your session time so you have a few minutes to walk or sit before driving. You may want to wait a few hours before an important meeting or event. It is possible to feel more intuitive, emotional and vulnerable after a session.

How do you know anything has happened? For intentions other than pain or illness, it may be harder to ascertain when a change has occurred. Part of the experience of IA is that once the change has occurred it feels so natural. It is common for recipients who return weeks later seeking a more evolved change to not realize they have already integrated their previously requested shift. In order to be aware of your changes, begin by noticing when a previously habituated response to an incident occurs and you respond differently. Pay attention to serendipitous experiences, ideas or suggestions that you didn’t notice before but now intrigue you. Most importantly, notice your feelings. Are you more content, curious, vital, excited? Once you feel better it's easy to forget how uncomfortable you were before.

It may take days or even weeks to integrate the session. Once integration begins, changes manifest in all areas of your life. Your own personal pace and how much you accept and adjust to the change will guide the extent of the change. This is a very unique, personal experience.

The Lever Session

This effective tool offers you an opportunity to END THE SUFFERING prolonged by prior emotional wounds.

The Lever is a totally cooperative process, usually with you and two IA Teachers. It relies upon our ability to define which wound and how much of it to release in any one visit and to recognize new choices agreed to by your personality and higher self.

As a metaphor to help understand how this is possible, consider the pattern of painfully reactive (and even over-reactive) behaviors which you have experienced all your life. Imagine a tapestry that portrays how all your earliest emotional traumas have been woven together in a lifelong repetitive pattern that continues today. The Lever is a kind of tweezers for the emotional body, through which it is possible to tease out and remove the reactive and historical emotional "threads."

Most of us have undergone more than one kind of emotional wounding in our lives. Generally, only one or two "threads" are pulled at a time. Visits are spaced over varying intervals that enables you to enjoy and integrate each new freedom in turn. A follow-up session or group class is recommended to support this integration. To date, the wounds most frequently healed have been in the arenas of terror, loss, shame, despair, overwhelm, rage and disappointment. Many other personal traumas have also been dissolved when specifically requested. We may also be able to assist you with the process of creating new behaviors which do not include suffering as their primary motivation.

In order to offer a lever session my colleagues and I have repeatedly undergone the process. The release and the results for recipients have led to a new and ongoing sense of self-trust, inner freedom and self-worth.

Integrated Awareness is a learning process that uses touch, expanded perceptual states and movement processes - these are not medical procedures. As a certified IA teacher, I do not, nor do I intend to practice or operate within a medical model. Many people find that Integrated Awareness is a useful complement to conventional medicine and other conventional therapies, but it is not meant as a replacement.
